Grow Foods Education and Training
Grow Foods offers a variety of workshops and classes to help you and your
organization learn about aquaponics and how to get the most productivity from
your installation. We can also help you evaluate your requirements and help you
choose the system that's right for you.
Presently we offer the following classes and workshops:
Introduction to Aquaponics – A one hour morning hands-on overview of Aquaponics.
Attendees see a system in operation, learn about the basics of how it works
and participate in daily tasks of feeding fish and seeding plants – Free
Beginning Aquaponics Integrated Agriculture
– This is a three hour afternoon course, immediately following the
Introduction to Aquaponics. Attendees learn about aquaponic system
designs, methods and daily operation with an emphasis on proper
environmental control. Materials and equipment provided. - $250.00/per
person
Advanced Aquaponics Integrated Agriculture– This is a
six hour – one day course that is scheduled to follow the Beginning
Aquaponics Integrated Agriculture course. Attendees learn about aquaponic
system designs, methods, daily operation and environmental control. How to
plan, design and construct greenhouses and other enclosures. Techniques
used to build aquaponics systems. This hands-on course will show you how to
properly connect fittings, greenhouse coverings, plumbing, system components
and much more. Tools will be provided. Plus a tour of a commercial
aquaponics greenhouse facility is included. - $350.00/per person
Aquaponics for Teachers – This is a one day
course for teachers that want to use aquaponics to help teach science,
engineering, agriculture and business, this class will help you understand
how aquaponics works, what equipment is required and what is involved every
day. Curriculum integration concepts are also covered. - $350.00/per person
Custom Training -
These are one day courses held for anyone wanting private training. Dates
and course material are customized to your needs. - $600/per person
