Organiculture^TM: A New Take on Aquaponics

Grow Foods, Inc., along with its partners, is in the business of producing local fish and organic vegetables. We use the most advanced aquaponic methods, in cooperation with the world's most experienced aquaponic system vendors. Our version of aquaponics, called Organiculture, allows a wider variety of produce to be grown, while producing edible seafood, such as tilapia and shrimp.

Our greenhouse facility, shown in the photo, is constantly adding new space for additional aquaponic systems. All the systems are not alike, as some of our production partners prefer different methods. Please contact us if you are interested in becoming a contract grower in our facility.

When sold commercially, our fish are called Happy Tilapia (TM)! This trademark is used by our producers and us to designate that our fish are grown using the best methods, with exposure to sunlight, fed plenty of carefully formulated food, raised without hormones, watched over by fish health experts, and finally gathered and processed using the most humane and healthful procedures. For you "localvores", you will be glad to learn that our seafood and vegetables are delivered fresh to local restaurants and seafood vendors daily.

We are also forming joint ventures to re-open some domestic fish farms that have had to close because of the difficulty of processing their toxic waste water. Our goal is to re-establish high quality local fish production to cut down on the worldwide transportation of farmed and wild fish. A significant side benefit is in the production of large amounts of organic produce instead of processing or discharging waste water!
